Carolyn Goins – CPG Designs

Carolyn Perry Goins has over 30 years of quilting, teaching and sewing experience. Carolyn made her first quilt in 1978 using a How-to book. While that quilt has long since departed this life, she has continued to learn more by studying from accomplished quilting instructors.

Coming from a home-sewing background, it is not surprising that she began to ‘tweak’ and create her own patterns. She has designed and made several raffle quilts benefiting quilt guilds and organizations. She has taught sewing and quilting to school groups, at quilt shows, and private lessons. She organized a quilt retreat plan for a Quilt Guild that as continued. She has been active in quilt groups around the world (Texas, Hawaii, Germany, Turkey) as she traveled with her husband; they now call Virginia home. Recently she has stitched quilts for Northcott-Monarch Fabrics to showcase new fabrics.

 Carolyn designing her own patterns through her company, CPG Designs, focusing on the beginner student. Her goal is to guide new quilters towards stunning results. Many of her patterns are designed specifically to lead new quilters to express their creativity and improve their technique with confidence.
